Rediscover Nature at Boyd Conservation Area

Boyd Conservation Area is a land preserved owned by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and overlaps a life science Area of Natural and Scientific Interest in Vaughan. The various sport courts and sheltered areas make it a popular place to have a picnic or enjoy hiking and birdwatching. The park contains 11 mammal species, 10 amphibian and reptiles, and a variety of bird species depending on the season, so there is plenty of wildlife to spot while hiking. You might even see a great blue heron by the water or a red-tailed hawk lazily soaring through the air! During the summer, outdoor concerts are regularly scheduled in the park. Fall brings with it a host of cross country events that draws in talent from all across Ontario. The park opens in late April, so get ready for picnic season!
